Brunette Color Specialist

Rich dimensional brunette hair with warm caramel highlights

Brunette, done with dimension.

Glossy, multidimensional brunette — thoughtfully created just for you — in a calm, one-chair studio just north of Tampa.

Brunette is where a huge part of my warm-tone work lives. There's nothing quiet about a truly great brunette — the way it catches light, the way it moves, the depth that reads as effortless but takes real craft to build. My hope is always that your color helps you feel seen and cared for, on the outside and the inside both.

Why so many brunettes fall flat

Brunette has a reputation for going flat or muddy, and there's a gentle truth behind it: most of the time, the color was applied as a single all-over shade instead of built in layers. Real dimension comes from weaving lighter and deeper pieces through a base, so the color has somewhere to go when it catches the light. And the little things matter, like blending the root so your color grows out kindly, without a harsh line. Tend to those details, and everything changes.

How I care for your color

Beautiful, dimensional brunette that lasts comes down to patience and craft: careful formulation, the right glaze, and the finest professional color I've found anywhere — Wella. I've tested nearly every line out there chasing that glossy, glass-like finish, and Wella's brunettes still hold a place all their own. Chasing that is my joy — and the result is yours to wear. When your color calls for warmth, I weave in soft copper and red lowlights within the brunette base — glow, not stripes, and never flat.

And reds & coppers? Absolutely.

Let me be clear — reds and coppers are my deepest passion, and if that's what's calling you, that's its own page worth a look. But dimensional brunette gets just as much of my attention in the chair. If you're a brunette who wants warmth, shine, and real dimension — never flat, never one-note — you are exactly my kind of guest.

What your first visit feels like

We start with an unhurried conversation, so I understand your hair and your life before I ever reach for a formula. With a warm latte, sparkling water, or a glass of wine in hand, we talk through where you'd love your brunette to go — deeper, lighter, warmer, cooler, more dimension. I prep your hair with a treatment that repairs as it works and clears away buildup that can dull your color. Then I build your color by hand, layer by layer, the technique chosen just for you.

From there you settle into the living room — soft lighting, something lovely on the screen, your drink and a little snack — while your color develops. At the bowl, you recline for a custom cleanse, a nourishing treatment, and glazing if your color calls for it. Then we cut, style, and I share the little tips to help you keep this feeling at home. We gather your take-home favorites, and we rebook so you're always looked after. Unhurried, one chair, entirely yours.

What it's worth

This was never meant to be the lowest-priced chair in town. What you're really saying yes to is time, gentle expertise, and dimension that grows out kindly — which is why my guests find they can wait longer between visits than they used to. Ranges and starting points live on the services menu; the heart of it is simple: caring for yourself this way gives back a little every time you catch your reflection.

Keeping it beautiful, gently

Some guests love a root refresh every six to eight weeks; some of my brunettes with softer, more blended dimension are happy going three to four months between full services. We'll find a rhythm that fits your life, never a rigid rule — and you'll always go home knowing exactly how to care for your color.

A turn I hold close

One of my guests, Rebecca, came to me after years of caring for her kids, her husband, and everyone else before herself. She'd let her grey grow in completely and wanted to look a little more like herself again — without overdoing it, and without a routine she'd have to fight to keep up with. We landed on grey blending rather than full coverage, softening about 70% of her grey so the rest reads like natural highlights woven through it as it grows. To warm the brown without fighting that cooler, ashier regrowth, I reached for the same idea behind mushroom brunette — a muted taupe-mocha blend with no red or orange creeping in — so the line between new growth and color simply isn't there. No demarcation means no fixed return date. Rebecca is a traveling nurse; she can rarely commit to an appointment more than a month out. Now she doesn't have to. She sees me whenever she's between assignments, and no one on shift can ever tell she missed one.

Is this you?

My chair is for the woman who's decided she's worth it — that it's finally her time to be cared for. It was never about expensive upkeep. It's about knowing your worth, and letting yourself be looked after for a few quiet hours that are all your own.

Wondering if we're the right match?
