Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you might want to know before your first visit — booking, color, the studio, and ordering online. Don't see your question? Reach out and I'll answer it myself. — Dean

Booking & your first visit
How do I book an appointment?
Everything happens online. New guests begin with a short consultation so I can be sure we're the right fit; returning guests can book directly. I don't take bookings by phone, text, or email — as a one-chair studio, that keeps your chair time unhurried and fully yours.
Why do new guests start with a consultation?
Because it's just me and just you. The consultation lets me understand what you love, what you've hated, and how much time you actually want to spend on your hair — then tell you honestly what will work before we ever book. It protects both your expectations and your time.
Can I call or text to book?
Not for booking. I'm a single stylist, and during an appointment I'm completely devoted to the guest in my chair, so I can't answer every call or text. Use the consultation link to start — and if you have a quick question or want to send a photo first, email or text me and I'll reply as soon as I'm free.
Where are you located?
24738 State Road 54, Lutz, FL 33559 — a one-chair studio just north of Tampa. I see guests by appointment only, and color hair for Lutz, Wesley Chapel, Tampa, and greater Tampa Bay. Open in Google Maps →
How often should I come back for color?
Most guests land somewhere around every six to ten weeks, but it depends on your tone, your grey, and how your hair wears it. If you're not sure, ask me in the chair and I'll give you a cadence that fits your real life — not a one-size schedule.
What's your cancellation policy?
The details live on my Salon Policies page so we're both on the same page before your visit. Have a look there, and if anything's unclear, just ask.

Color & the studio
What do you specialize in?
The warm end of the spectrum — rich, dimensional brunettes, glowing coppers, true reds, and soft grey blending. That's my lane, chosen on purpose, so I can go deep on the tones I love rather than do everything just okay.
Do you do blonde or highlights?
I'm honest about this: I'm not a blonde chair, and I'm at peace with that. What I do is add dimension to brunettes, reds, and coppers using selective blonding techniques — not full-head blonde transformations. If you're after bright all-over blonde, I'll gladly point you somewhere better suited. Not sure? Send a photo and I'll tell you honestly what's possible.
What is “slow color”?
One chair, one stylist, and your hair as the only thing on the schedule while you're here. No rotation of assistants, no crowded floor, no feeling like a number — just focused time on your color. That's the whole idea behind the studio.
Is your color gentle and eco-friendly?
Yes. I reach for cleaner, gentler color that's better for your hair, your scalp, and the small room we share all day — no throat-burning ammonia. I also lean on sustainable products and practices wherever I can, because I care about you and the planet.
Will my grey be covered or blended?
Either — your way. Want full grey coverage for a flawless finish? Done. Prefer a softer blend for a natural, lived-in look? I'll make your regrowth smooth and stress-free. I work with your natural hair so color grows out gracefully, without constant upkeep.
My color fades or frizzes in the Florida humidity — can you help?
That's exactly what I formulate for. Our humidity, sun, and salt are hard on color, so I build your formula for how your hair holds up in August — not just under my studio lights — and you'll go home knowing the products and routine that keep your tone true between visits.

Products & orders
Which brands do you carry?
The lines I trust and use myself: Oway, K18, Wella, Ibiza, and GHD. You'll find them in the online shop — hand-picked, rather than a wall of everything.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes — shipping is free on orders over $95. You can shop the same professional products I reach for in the studio and have them delivered to your door.
Can I get a product recommendation without an appointment?
Absolutely. Tell me your hair concern or send a photo and I'll point you to what actually fits — no appointment needed. The blog is a good place to start, too: use the search icon and try keywords like volume, frizz, or color care.
