How is this different from the conditioner?

Depth and frequency. Conditioner is every wash; the mask is your weekly deep treatment for when hair needs more. Five minutes on mid-lengths and ends, not the roots.

Will it weigh fine hair down?

It can if you overdo it. Fine hair should use it every other week rather than weekly, and only on the ends. If you want the Dark Oil effect on fine hair day to day, use Dark Oil Lite instead.

Which size?

The 1 fl oz is a genuine trial. The 4.9 fl oz is the normal size. The 16.9 fl oz only makes sense once it's a fixture.

Can I use it with K18?

Yes, but not at the same time. Apply K18 to clean, towel-dried hair with nothing underneath. Use the mask on other wash days.
