The Pure Brazilian Original Treatment: Your Frizz-Free, Healthier-Hair Hero

The Pure Brazilian Original Treatment: Your Frizz-Free, Healthier-Hair Hero

My most intensive smoothing treatment — and the reason I’ve moved on from the Brazilian Blowout.

If frizz, endless blow-drying, and hair that simply won’t behave sound familiar, the Pure Brazilian Original Treatment was made for you. It’s the most intensive smoothing and reconstruction service I offer — and the treatment I’ve chosen to replace the Brazilian Blowout, as part of my move toward healthier options for my guests.

What it is

The Original Treatment is a keratin-based smoothing treatment that does two jobs at once: it smooths the hair and rebuilds it. Rather than simply coating the surface, the Reconstructor Solution fills in the hair’s cuticle and forms a protective layer of protein along each strand. Your hair is left smoother and stronger — and it stays in better condition even as the treatment gradually wears off.

Why I chose it

I moved away from the Brazilian Blowout because I wanted a treatment that genuinely improves the health of your hair. Pure Brazilian leaves hair in an overall healthier condition, washes out gradually without altering your hair’s natural structure, and skips the awkward downtime of some smoothing systems — there’s no waiting days before you can wash or tie your hair up. It’s also cumulative: the more often you have it, the healthier your hair becomes and the longer the results last.

How it works

The Original Treatment takes around 90 minutes in the salon. I deeply restore the hair fiber using hydrolyzed Brazilian keratin, amino acids, and nourishing butters such as cocoa seed butter, along with açaí and vitamins. Importantly, the treatment doesn’t break the hair’s bonds — it works with your hair, not against it.

The results

Expect noticeably smoother, softer hair with a radiant shine, far less frizz, and far easier styling — blow-dry time can drop to as little as a third of what you’re used to. If you color your hair, you’ll often find the color looks richer and glossier, too. Results last an average of around four months, then fade gently rather than leaving a harsh line.

Who it’s for

The Original Treatment is the stronger of the Pure Brazilian formulas, making it ideal for coarse, thick, or curly hair, and for anyone with frizz-prone, dry, damaged, or chemically treated hair that needs restoring. It works beautifully on coloured and highlighted hair — in fact, more porous hair tends to drink it in — as well as on extensions. And because it’s a smoothing treatment, not a straightener, it respects your natural texture: very curly hair keeps defined, frizz-free curls, wavy hair falls smoother and sleeker, and straight hair simply gains shine and polish.

Is it right for you?

Not sure whether the Original Treatment is the best fit — for example, if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, or have very fine hair? Just ask. I’ll always talk through your hair and your goals, and recommend the right option for you before we get started.

Ready to fall back in love with your hair? Book in for a Pure Brazilian Original Treatment, or mention it at your next visit, and I’ll find a time that works for you.
